I have been MIA for over a month....really, I want to write but just don't put forth any effort to do so. Sounds like me, right? lol Anywhoo....we've been going to Mass every morning and absolutely LOVE it! We used to sleep till after noon and stay up all night, watching old movies. But now we set our alarm for 4am, get up, make a pot of coffee, say our morning prayers, do the Divine Office and the Readings for the day....take a shower and leave for the church at 6am! Whew! We pray the Rosary with everyone before Mass and stay for Morning Prayer after. I tell ya, if you would have told me I would be so consumed by the Lord Jesus Christ a few years ago, I would have thought you were crazy! The Lord works in such mysterious and wonderful ways! I have left that old life behind and am working on this totally new, exciting, awesome life with Jesus Christ as my Savior and Redeemer! Along with my Heavenly Mother, Mary! I have a lot of work to do, but every itsy bitsy step has been the best thing that has happened to me since giving birth to Nikki! Praise God!
On Facebook, one of my 'friends' posted "The Crocheters' Prayer". I wish I could remember who it was to give them credit for it, but I was caught in a senior moment and didn't save it. But I did save the prayer. I make afghans to give and sell and I pray on every one as I work on it. Now I have a little prayer to pray before I start for the day. Remember, I didn't make this up and I don't want to take any credit for it.....but I think other crocheters would like this.
THE CROCHETERS' PRAYER
Dear Lord,
Please guide my hook as I work today. Let my stitches be secure and my tangles be few. Let my yarn grow up to be something beautiful so that others may enjoy it, too.
Let the pieces I make be wrapped in warmth, love and joy. Thank you for the gift you have given me to be able to make things for your glory and to share with others.
Thank You, Lord
Amen.
It starts my crocheting and as I work my stitches I pray that the recipient of the afghan be kept warm, healthy, safe, and free of lifes' troubles.
I have a few afghans or throws finished but haven't taken any pics. Hopefully, I'll get around to doing that and post them. Until next time..........
May peace be with you,
Denise
Love the prayer, thank you
