Some updates in my rather dull life:
1. We brought Lola and her babies to the pound :o( They said the kitties had a really good chance at being adopted. I sure hope so, they are so cute and playful.
2. A little black kitty showed up at our house...and adopted us! We named him Loki from the movie Avenger...it means "Master of Mischief" and the name sure fits this lil guy! We all fell in love with him and he with us. He can be such a lover, too. So gentle just snuggles up on my neck and purrzzz so loud! Here is a pic I took of him today
3. The pink & gray afghan is done, but I haven't washed it yet. I don't want to take pics until I have it finished and ready to go.
4. Working on a ripple granny in blue (peacock), green (limelight), and white (antique white) with "I Love This Yarn". I do love this yarn. It's from Hobby Lobby. Tonight I ran out of the white, so a yarn run to Hobby Lobby tomorrow looks promising.
5. Mark and I have been working on a tire garden...where you grow your crop in tires. First he has to cut the rim part off the tires, then stack them by twos. I hope this is the way to go. Jerry Hughes, Sr. brought us 15 tires to start with! Thanks Sr! That was such a kind gesture, and it has helped us immensely!
6. We also cleaned some of the area for outdoor cooking! We have a fire pit and last Saturday we had roasted hot dogs, hot brats, baked beans, boiled corn, and cole slaw. Sunday evening we cooked hamburgers and roasted the leftover corn on the fire. Everything was so good! I just wish it was a lil cooler. This saturday we are planning on cooking 'Campfire Chicken'. It's chicken, potatoes, carrots, onions, garlic, and seasonings in aluminum foil and cook it in the coals. Can't wait!
Well, that's about all that's going on in my lil world right now. I'm hoping to get back in da ole saddle and post more......
